Those ostritch type legs would cause it to topple backward when it fires the howitzers, the recoil on those things is nothing short of astronomical.

ok, my mistake, but I know those reverse jointed legs are all the rage in amime mecha atm but they are hardly practical, remove that extra limb to the hip and increase your stability tenfold. Sorry my local game club has me designing mechs atm and I'm using autocad to structurally test the designs against the stresses of onboard weapon recoil.
